The New Noosa Plan is out for public review and feedback. It is a big and complex document. This New Noosa Planning Scheme effectively ‘sets the rules for development including new or changing land uses, subdivision, building works, landscaping and clearing of vegetation and all forms of engineering works.’

One of our regular writers, the fabulous Judy Barrass, has published her submission on Open Noosa as ‘Noosa Plan Submission: STA’.

This gave us the idea that it would be great to publish other submissions too, with the intention that this would

  • highlight issues buried in the big document;
  • give submissions a good airing instead of just going into a Council archive;
  • inspire discussions around a vision for Noosa and how the plan facilitates or hinders it;
  • inspire and perhaps help others to make submissions.

Send us your submission

Send us your submission via email to editor@opennoosa.org or drop it into this form below – if you wish your submission to have copyright, mark it with a (c).

Your email address won't be published.

What happens next

Once you have sent your submission to us we will

  • make a decision if we should publish it and how – on its own or bundled under a topic;
  • reserve the right to publish an extract (but we won’t change your words).

So please write your submission to council and send us a copy. We are looking forward to it.
